Janet Logsdon and Alex Wolf confirmed; Skip Overdier invited by email, phone, and text
GRANBURY, Texas: Hood County Express announces Dr. Andrew J. “Andy” Wolford as moderator of its Granbury City Council Candidate Forum on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Generations Church, 5718 East Highway 377 in Granbury.
Wolford founded Risknology Inc. in 2001, drawing on his background in nuclear engineering, physics, and statistical analysis to evaluate risks at industrial facilities. He has directed nearly 1,000 risk assessments and personally conducted more than 300 process hazard analysis workshops across industries including oil, gas, refining, and chemical processing, as well as NASA facilities.
His professional background includes positions at MIT, Battelle Laboratories, Science Applications International Corporation, Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, and NASA’s Johnson Space Center. His work involves leading technical discussions and translating complex information into understandable terms.
Locally, Wolford has been working with Granbury and Hood County officials to review technical information submitted by prospective data center developers and contribute to appropriate regulations for proposed industrial facilities. His community service includes church leadership, homeowner association leadership, and home-repair outreach.
As moderator, Wolford will guide a discussion about the issues facing Granbury, including transparency, city leadership, data centers, public safety, privacy, taxes, and responsible growth.
Janet Logsdon, candidate for Place 4, and Alex Wolf, candidate for Place 6, have confirmed their participation. Place 4 incumbent Skip Overdier has been emailed, called, and texted an invitation to participate.
Since Hood County Express announced its event, the Granbury Chamber of Commerce has canceled its City Council candidate forum. The Express will now host the only remaining scheduled Granbury City Council candidate forum for this election.
Hood County Express is also announcing a commitment to host candidate forums for every city and county elected race throughout Hood County moving forward. These forums will provide opportunities for residents to hear directly from candidates, ask community questions, and discuss the responsibilities of public office, with invitations extended regardless of political affiliation.
The October 5 forum is a nonpartisan community event, and residents of all political backgrounds are invited to attend.
